also this note can still apply I fear- You have been killing me with angst again /j
this being said, I have not written the buck and bobby comfy part so you get the first opening angst bit :)
It's one of the few rare days in LA that it's raining, which is so not what Buck was hoping for. It's not that Buck hates the rain, it just hasn't been his favorite since the lightning strike. He actually used to really love it. Loved how it would cool down an especially hot day (which in Pennsylvania it wasn't nearly as hot as it is in LA during the summer) or how if the conditions were right afterwards there would be a rainbow. If he looked further for a possible meaning to that he could probably come up with the idea where beauty comes from the calm after the chaos of a storm or something, but Buck didn't really want to think too hard on that. He also liked the sound of rain hitting the windows of the jeep when he used to be traveling. It was a comforting sound that helped fill the lonely silence in the car that the radio couldn't fill, even if it meant the windshield wipers had to work overtime to give him a clear view of the road ahead of him.  But then the lightning strike happened, and now anytime the rain picks up to a heavy downpour he can feel his pulse quicken at the idea that if the 118 have to go out for an emergency in the middle of a storm that another strike of lightning could happen, cause lightning doesn't strike just once. It strikes the same places multiple times, and it often strikes tall structures, and god forbid if those structures have living people standing on or under them. It was the perfect circumstances for Evan Buckley to get struck that stormy night, (He was standing on a metal ladder after all, and metal is known for its conductivity. Even Eddie had to deal with the electricity from the ladder after it got struck and he wasn't even the one that got struck. He was just down there holding onto the ladder, having Buck's back even on ladder duty.) and it kinda sucks that it was, cause believe it or not Evan Buckley didn't want to die, but that night he did for three minutes and seventeen seconds. He got revived thankfully, the 118 never really letting any of their members stay in death's realm for too long, but now he's stuck dealing with the after effects of it.
